Mint Cilantro Chutney / Mint Coriander Chutney / Mint Cilantro Dip

Mint cilantro chutney is also known as mint coriander chutney or mint cilantro dip. This dip super tasty and has superb fragrance. It goes well with sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and almost all the side dishes. It can also be used as pizza sauce. It is easy to make. It enhances the taste of various dishes.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

1 bunch of Cilantro

½ bunch of Mint

1 or 2 green chili (depending on how spicy you want it to be)

2 table spoons Split chickpeas (daliya or dalia) or 1 bread (crushed or broken in to pieces)

1 tea spoon of grated ginger

1 tea spoon of cumin powder (optional)

1/4 cup Water (amount of water depends on the kind of consistency you want for the dip)

1 – 2 teaspoon lemon juice (depending on your taste)

Salt to taste

 

Recipe

 

  • Wash and cut Cilantro, mint, chili, and ginger
  • Combine all the ingredients mentioned above in a mixture / blender
  • Add water according to the consistency you want
  • Crush and blend properly
  • Store the chutney / dip in air tight container

 

 

Tips

  • If you don’t have allergies you can add peanuts instead of split chickpea or bread
  • Split chick peas also known as daliya or dalia are very good source of protein and are easily available in any Indian store.
