How to make Chocolate Fudge?

Time to prepare – 2 minutes

Time to cook – 5 – 10 minutes (depends on the quantity)

Refrigeration Time – minimum 5 – 6 hours (or you can refrigerate it overnight)

This recipe makes – 20 – 30 medium size rectangular fudge bites / mini bars

Necessary Ingredients

  • 14 ounce or 396 gram (about 400 grams) of Condensed Milk
  • 12 ounce or 340 gram (about 300 – 350 grams) of Chocolate or Chocolate pieces or Chocolate Morsels (Dark, Sweet, Semi sweet, or Milk Chocolate – your choice)
  • Optional Ingredients for garnishing – granular Sea Salt, desiccated shredded coconut, chopped berries, or if you are not allergic some chopped nuts of your choice. – These ingredients are for garnishing only and totally optional. Final product would taste absolutely amazing without the garnishing too.

Chocolate Fudge Recipe

  • Take a medium sized baking pan about 5 x 7 inches or a flat bottom deep vessel in which you would prefer to set your fudge in refrigerator. You can also use silicon molds.

or

  • Grease the baking pan or tray with cooking spray or butter or ghee.
  • Put a oversized baking sheet or parchment paper on the greased pan as shown in the picture.
  • Take a medium sized non stick pan.

  • On a medium flame / heat, add condensed milk and chocolate pieces or morsels of your choice to the pan and keep stirring.

  • Do not stop stirring until the chocolate pieces melts and completely dissolves in the condensed milk. It will take about 4 – 5 minutes. It should be like steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the above picture.

  • Once the chocolate dissolves in the condensed milk, it looks like a thick liquid chocolate fudge as shown in the above picture. It should look smooth, thick, and creamy.

  • Switch off the flame / cook top, and pour the liquid chocolate fudge to the greased and lined baking tray or pan or silicon molds as shown in the picture.
  • Make a thick flat layer of chocolate fudge as shown in the picture.
  • Now you can either refrigerate it directly or sprinkle some garnishing (garnishing is optional) on the thick liquid fudge before refrigeration.

  • I have sprinkled some granular sea salt on half of my fudge and kept the other half plain. So I can have both kinds of fudge bites – salty and non salty.
  • Now refrigerate it for minimum of 5 hours or overnight.
  • Once refrigeration time is over, take the fudge out from the refrigerator.

  • Just like in the above picture, follow all four steps. Lift the fudge up with help of parchment paper. You can lift the parchment paper from the sides of the pan and transfer the fudge to the chopping board or a flat clean surface.
  • Remove or peel off the parchment paper from the fudge.

  • Now take a sharp knife, and cut the big fudge bar into small mini bars or bite size shapes or whatever shape you like.

  • Unforgettably delicious, creamy, and melts in your mouth kind of chocolate fudge is ready to eat!
  • Now transfer the fudge pieces in the airtight containers seal the container and put them in the refrigerator or eat the delicious fudge bites / bars immediately.

Tips

  • To keep the taste fresh, keep the Chocolate fudge refrigerated.
  • Use it within 7 – 10 days.
